Gorilla Run 2012

I’m running in the Great Gorilla Run again this year, because it was such a laugh four years ago, and because Indie’s never seen 800 gorillas prancing through central London on a Saturday morning. Also, I think it’s a good cause – they are saving the last few mountain gorillas through education and poverty-reduction, as […]

Appletreewick Camping

Some photos from our recent camping trip to Mason’s Campsite in Appletreewick, Yorkshire. We hadn’t seen the kids for two weeks due to the Olympics – thanks grandparents!

We spent a day reliving my childhood at Brimham Rocks, and a day contemplating the English character at the Kettlewell Scarecrow […]

Demolition Complete

The building work is progressing. The builders have demolished everything, and even started building some new things.

Oh, and the fish tank’s in the attic toilet. The garden’s not looking too good though.

What’s left of the garden.

I took the three Moss girls to the graffiti tunnels under Waterloo station, to see an escaped Chelsea Flower Show garden, which had been recycled and given a South London twist. Although reluctant at first, they thought it was brilliant once we got there (well, Indie slept through it all in her buggy, which […]

Value And Worth – coaching and consultancy

I’ve just set up my sister Liz’s website for her new business, Value and Worth. It’s a coaching and consultancy business based in Suffolk, but Liz travels all over the place. Take a look to see if she can help you…

The Juggler

Someone’s used a Flickr photo of mine – the Juggler.

We had our summer holiday in half term a few weeks back, in a gîte in central Brittany. We thought it was on a farm, but it turned out to be on a 45-acre Falabella miniature horse stud, specialising particularly in blue-eyed Falabellas. There was also a big turkey roaming around the yard, some poodles […]

Peebles for (more) Pleasure

We took a little trip up to Scotland on the train, to stay with Griff & Clare (& Amelia & Ben), and see Ol & Amanda (& Duncan) as well. Amazingly, it was hot and sunny not cold and rainy, so we spent Sunday at Bowhill – playing on the adventure playground (including surely the […]

Pig in a Day

I went to Dorset, to River Cottage HQ, for my birthday present from Pip, Liz, my Mum & Dad, and Sally & David. It was the Pig in a Day course – butchery, cookery and charcuterie of a pig.

It was a good course, although I’m unlikely to keep pigs in […]

May Bank Holiday – Seaside Special

Our planned camping trip with the Elliots was rained off, so we rented an apartment on the beach in East Wittering.

Andrew and Pip dared each other into swimming in the sea during a break in the rain.

We visited possibly the worst tourist attraction in Britain. At one […]
