RideLondon 100 Miler

As a target for my rehabilitation, I’ve entered the Prudential RideLondon 100-miler. It’s a 100-mile cycle ride from the Olympic Park out to Leith Hill and Box Hill, then back to London to finish on the mall. For the almost two months I was in my leg-brace I lost a lot of leg muscle, a lot of flexibility, and a lot of fitness in general. Building up the distance I can cycle has been difficult – so far I’m up to around 65 miles, so I’ve still got some way to go.
Before After
Entering this ride is the motivation I needed to get out every Sunday and work my way up and down the hills of the North Downs, which is exactly what my knee needs.
I’m riding in support of the Spinal Injuries Association, for whom I’ve run two London Marathons. They, and I, would be enormously grateful if you can sponsor me to complete the cycling equivalent. Thank you!
