I ran the Great Gorilla Run 2008, as promised, in my full gorilla suit, and a pink feather boa.
At the end I got a hug and a medal from Bill Oddie, a fearless task as I kept my head and hands on all the way round, and it was a hot sunny Saturday morning in the City. Sweaty doesn’t come close!
I finished 193rd out of 637 finishers, and almost 800 starters – that’s more people dressed up as gorillas in Mincing Lane, EC3, than there are mountain gorillas left in the world. It took me 50 minutes to cover the 7km.
