Well the Christening was a lovely day – thank you to everyone who came, I think we numbered about 70 in total, at least in the pub! Laurie really was incredibly well behaved, admittedly asleep through half the event.
It was a bit like a wedding reunion and how spoilt was Laurie with all those gifts! Pics now up but please do email through any other good ones.

A Funday in South London, unobserved by the guest of honour.
The day started early and brightly, and we were on the road by 7:30 arriving at the rather grotty services on the M2 about 8:15.
David decided to head on up into town to provide transport, without Breakfast, but I was feeling withdrawal symptons from lack of saturated fats and caffine.
Repleted, and having checked out the Telegraph, headed towards Deptford.
At the M25, TomTom wanted me to turn south but I kept straight on and it then insisted I turn round when possible! and obey instructions.
Idiot Machine. Eventually I succumbed to instructions, and then it lost me , and itself in the back streets of Eltham.
Defaulted to my 1956 version of Trusty AZ and turned up in the right place at 9:50, but could not find the church.
The web had a picture of a stone ediface with a bell tower but nary such a church in sight.
I was standing on the side of the road, checking for bearings, when there was a blast of airhorn, and a skreech of rubber as a bm side drifted slidewise around the corner. Someone who knew where to go, and I turned and watched it fly headlong through some gates into the local cemetary.
Ah-ha,a church in disquise, knocked about a bit by hitler!. We slid quietly into church and found the girl herself fast asleep in a private padded pew, and from where she deigned to ignore everyone for the duration.
Songs were sung, and candles burned, and water was splashed about, all with baby still in obliviland. That Calpol and Scotch stuff really works!
Sunlight and Papperazzi, and then to the important work of the day. A couple of bevvys and a Rieneck Brie. Lots of prezzies for lori.
A leisuely inspection to check that the River still flowed down hill and to the East, and then a short drive to the observatory at Zero Long to get a picture of the sun setting behind the dome, before walking down to the Cutty Sark, to pay respects to the old girl, and to get a Pizza before heading back to work.
Well, I do not think Lori will fit into a topper any longer, but has a bit to grow yet to fill out her Christening dress.
and I like the four generations picture!
